Volleyball Beats Allegheny at Carnegie-Mellon Invite

PITTSBURGH  -- The Bombers opened play at the Carnegie-Mellon Crossover Friday beating Allegheny 3-1 (31-29, 20-30, 30-24, 30-23). Ithaca improves to 11-4 on the season.
 
Senior Andrea Blitz (Webster/Webster) and sophomore Andria Mynders (Minisink Valley/Port Jervis) shared the team lead with 14 kills apiece, while senior Kaye Haverstock (Huntingdon/Hesston, Pa.) pitched in 20 digs and three service aces. Sophomore Jenna Yehl (Horseheads/Horseheads) paced the Bombers with 25 assists.
 
Ithaca goes on to play John Carroll at 5 p.m.
